As with any of us, students have certain foods that they prefer over other foods.
They also have foods that they do not tolerate as well as others.
However, true food allergies are different.
True food allergies require food substitutions at school, and they require certain paperwork to be completed by the parent and health care provider.
If a certain food has to be withheld from your child, a substitution must be provided and ordered by a health care provider. The following packet will need to be completed and sent to school at the start of each new school year.
Please do not send snacks or drinks to school without first checking with the classroom teacher or school administrator. Several students have food allergies and this will help to ensure their safety.
Please review the county wellness policy below to ensure only those snacks meeting the approved guidelines are sent to school.
